The Canadian Weather plugin uses the ECA_Weather1 API to retrieve weather conditions from Environment Canada and fill the weather widget with the content retrieved.
The Canadian weather plugin requires the HomeLink addon to be installed.
The primary home screen widget is a Canada widget. All other widgets are based on it, and will display the same content.
When other widgets are designed in order to display weather conditions, they will use the data retrieved by the HomeLink widget.
