Everyone deals with breakups differently. Some fall into a deep hole – others use the cut to make positive changes in their own lives and to take care of themselves more.
The latter probably applies to singer Adele. Since separating from her husband Simon Konecki, who has also dealt with her new album “30”, the musician is said to have lost 45 kilograms.
Thanks to a sportier lifestyle and the so-called sirt food diet, the 33-year-old should have achieved her comfortable weight.
Sirtfood diet: lose weight rich in protein
This diet is limited to protein-rich foods. Especially products with a high content of sirtuins (a group of proteins) are at the top of the menu.
The special thing about this diet is the selection of permitted foods.
In addition to healthy classics such as broccoli, citrus fruits, avocados, blueberries, green tea and walnuts, black coffee, red wine and dark chocolate with a high cocoa content are also allowed.
Avoid foods rich in carbohydrates that do not contain sirtuins, such as potatoes or white beans.

Lose weight like Adele: in a calorie deficit to a comfortable weight
The sirtfood diet is divided into three phases, which relate to the respective amount of calories.
- The first phase lasts three days. In these you can consume a maximum of 1000 calories per day. In addition, three sirtuin-rich juices and a meal should be on the plan.
- The second phase follows. This allows up to 1500 calories a day – preferably from two juices and two meals. This phase should be followed until the desired weight is reached.
- The third phase allows 1800 calories a day and is intended to ensure that the desired weight can be maintained for as long as possible. Ideally, as many sirtuin-rich foods as possible are consumed.
Health Benefits of the Sirtfood Diet
Whether you lose weight in the end through the saved calories or whether the sirtuins are actually responsible for it remains to be seen.
Unlike other highly restrictive diets, however, this diet is a good way to supplement the menu with a few healthy, vitamin-rich foods.
The diet is by no means bad: As a research report from 2007 shows, sirtuins are said to have a number of positive effects on the human organism regardless of the success of the diet.
The protein protects the body cells from premature death or high levels of inflammation. In addition, the metabolism should be regulated through the absorption and even muscle growth and fat burning can be stimulated.
Cooking fresh and sirtuin-rich is definitely worth it.
