The present invention relates to a feed unit in a tape cassette for feeding leader and pull-in tapes for loading a tape recorder such as an audio tape recorder.
2. Description of the Prior Art
Conventionally, in a feed unit in a tape cassette, a leader tape and a pull-in tape are fed by utilizing a leader tape reel and a pull-in tape reel.
More specifically, after the reel of the pull-in tape has been pulled out from the cassette, the pull-in tape is wound around the pull-in tape reel. Then, the tape is fed by the rotation of the pull-in tape reel while pulling the pull-in tape.
At this time, the pull-in tape is caused to be wound around the pull-in tape reel so that a predetermined length of the pull-in tape is pulled out from the cassette and wound around a take-up reel.
In this case, a predetermined length of the leader tape is pulled out from the leader tape reel and wound around the take-up reel.
Next, the leader tape is fed by the rotation of the leader tape reel and a predetermined length of the leader tape is wound around a supply reel. Then, the leader tape is fed to a position in which the leader tape is separated from the pull-in tape.
In the conventional construction, it is difficult to feed the pull-in tape with good efficiency and in a stable manner. More specifically, the conventional construction has various problems as follows.
(1) Since a mechanism for feeding the pull-in tape is very complicated in construction, it takes time to assemble the feed unit in the tape cassette.
(2) Since the pull-in tape is pulled out and wound around a large number of reels after the pull-in tape has been pulled out from the cassette, and then the pull-in tape is wound around the take-up reel, the number of reels provided for winding the pull-in tape is large. This results in the drive mechanism being very complicated.
(3) The tape is wound around the reels of the pull-in tape, thus leading to increase in torque. Thus, there is a problem in that the reels of the pull-in tape are apt to be damaged due to a large frictional resistance.
